Welcome to Eagles Class (Class 3 Y3&4)
We are taught by Mrs Richards who is assisted by Mrs Sandra Purdy and Mrs Claire Winterbourne.
Our topic this term is DINOSAURS, and we have been exploring a big questions. So far we have been thinking about:
- When and where did dinosaurs live?
- How do we know about dinosaurs if they lived millions of years ago?
- Were humans around at the same time as dinosaurs?
- When did the first humans first live?
- What was life like for early humans?
We have been writing instructions on 'How to Wash a Dinosaur.' and have been exploring the story of 'Stone Age Boy' using Talk for Writing.
In maths we are adopting a mastery approach. Our topics this term are Fractions, Decimals and Measures, and we have been developing our reasoning skills through our learning. We continue to challenge ourselves with TT Rockstars at home. Use the link below to become a Rock Legend!
Maths Challenge of the Week
George and Grace have ordered lemonade. Grace has a small lemonade which is 250ml. George has a large lemonade which is 4/10 more than a small. How many millilitres does George have?
We continue with swimming up until Tuesday 6th February, at Berinsfield, then we change to P.E on Tuesday afternoons.
Homework should be shown on Fridays. I will take in any finished tasks for the term, and let you keep your folder over the weekend. More importantly though, on Fridays we will send home tricky spellings you have come across during the week in your blue spelling notebook. Please use our spelling ideas to practice these over the weekend, as these will be tested the following Friday.
If you have any questions about life in Eagles class, please contact me either through the school office or ClassDojo.
