MESSAGE FROM MRS BELLINGHAM - HEADTEACHER
Welcome to Long Wittenham Primary School! My name is Alison Bellingham and I have the pleasure of being the Headteacher to this fantastic school.
Staff, pupils, parents and our wider school community are fully committed to providing the very best experiences and opportunities for learning, for all of our children. Our core Christian values of compassion, resilience and trust, underpin all that we do and form the basis of our whole school ethos.
We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our curriculum is as broad and balanced as possible and that all of our children (and staff) feel inspired to achieve beyond their own expectations. We strongly believe in the Growth Mind Set approach to our learning and reflect constantly on what we are doing, ensuring challenge is at the forefront of all that we achieve. All of our learning is project-based, very often with a whole school theme. We are great advocates for cross curricular learning and know that our children thrive when faced with rich questioning, inspiring themes and engaging topics.
We have incredibly high expectations of our children, and indeed ourselves, and strive to promote the very best outcomes for us all. We enjoy extremely positive relationships with our parental community and are very proud of this.
Please feel free to contact us should you require any further information. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
New data protection regulations
On 25th May 2018 there are some changes to the current data protection regulations called the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The school, and The Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, regards the protection of personal data relating to children and parents/carers as a very important matter.
On the school website, in accordance with best practice, we have published our updated data protection policy and Pupil Privacy notice. The Pupil Privacy notice outlines the pupil information that we collect, hold and share including the lawful basis about how we use this information.
If you would like a printed copy of the data protection policy and privacy notice please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
